Out and About Truro – Wednesday 6th October 2021 (10am – 12pm)

Dyslexia Cornwall will be running another Out and About Drop-in and Advice event – this time in Truro.

Wednesday 6th October 2021 10am – 12pm

The Out and About events have been funded by the Cornwall Glass Fund. THANK YOU.

Out and About in Penzance – Wednesday 22nd September 4pm – 6pm

Dyslexia Cornwall is very pleased to announce that we are finally able to recommence our Out and About Drop-in and Advice events.  The first will be in Penzance on Wednesday 22nd September 2021. The event starts at 4pm through to 6pm.

Two further events are planned for other area of Cornwall – we are in the planning phase but will confirm the dates as soon as possible.

Understanding the Barriers to Success in Mathematics: Postponed to May 2021

Due to unforeseen circumstances our planned annual conference will now be in May 2021. It will of course still be virtual and delivered via Teams.

The conference was fully booked.

All delegates will be informed of the new date as soon as possible.

The conference is run in alliance with Cornwall Council’s Cognition and Learning Service.

The keynote speaker will be Professor Camilla Gilmore who has kindly donated her time.

Dr. Camilla Gilmore is Professor of Mathematical Cognition in the Centre for Mathematical Cognition at Loughborough University. Her research is focused on understanding how mathematics skills develop and why some children have such difficulties learning mathematics. 

The cost will be much lower than usual, as there will be no venue.

Cost: £10 per person (£5 for parent/carer)

Brtish Dyslexia Association – Dyscalculia and Maths Difficulties Conference

British Dyslexia Association are very excited to announce that they will be hosting a live virtual conference on Dyscalculia and Maths Difficulties.

The conference is scheduled for:

Thursday 18th June 2020
9:15am – 4:30pm

Tickets cost £80 and £70 for students, BDA Members, trainers and assessors.

Dyslexia Cornwall have taken the decision to suspend our Out and About services for the foreseeable future along with our face to face screening and assessment services.

Out and About – Grampound Road 21st April 2020 CANCELLED

Sadly, as a result of the current Covid-19 advice Dyslexia Cornwall has decided to cancel our Out and About services. Therefore, the event on Tuesday 21st April 2020 at Grampound Cricket Club has been cancelled. We hope you are well and safe and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

Out and About – Penzance 21st March 2020 CANCELLED
