We will be back in Waterstones in Truro offering advice and guidance on dyslexia and associated difficulties.

Screening and Mentoring Service for Adults 2024-2025
Do you think you might be dyslexic and want to find out more? Are you out of work, on benefits or low wage?
We can offer a subsidised dyslexia screening test (a small fee applies), followed by FREE mentoring sessions to go through the screening test and look at practical ways to support you.

Supporting Students to Reach their Full Potential November 2024
Dyslexia Cornwall are delighted to announce that they have been awarded grant funding from the British Dyslexia Association to run a pilot project focusing on students in current year 11 or above reaching their potential in exams.
We are offering three FREE workshops for students with literacy and numeracy challenges including those with dyslexia and/or dyscalculia. For example those who need to re-sit their English and Maths GCSEs. The workshops will focus on study skills, revision strategies and examination techniques.

Dyslexia Cornwall on Radio Cornwall 2023
Laura will be chatting with Emma Gill on Radio Cornwall this morning. Tune in around 10.30 to hear Laura talk about our new pilot project – ‘Supporting Students’.
The project will offer FREE support to students with Dyslexia and/or Dyscalculia (or who have been experiencing difficulties relating to Dyslexia and/or Dyscalculia) who must re-sit their English and/or Maths GCSEs in 2024 and will focus on study skills, revision strategies and examination techniques.
Each tuition module will consist of a series of 3x 2 hour Saturday morning workshops. The activities will be focused, multi- sensory, practical and fun.
We plan to run two complete modules in March and April in 2024. Each study group will have up to 8 students plus supportive adults if requested by the individual student.

Members of our team will be at the Knowledge Spa Truro TODAY – offering advice and guidance as part of Exeter Universities Wellbeing and Inclusion Fair. We are looking forward to meeting lots of university students, studying in our wonderful county of Cornwall. Come and say hi if you see us there!

Dyslexia Cornwall at Waterstones in Truro October 2023
Our Dyslexia Advisers are back! We will be in Waterstones in Truro on Saturday the 28th October 10.30am-12.30pm. This is a great opportunity for anyone, including students, parents, adults and employers, to come and talk to our advisers face to face on dyslexia and related topics.
If you miss this one, don’t worry! The next session is planned for January 27th 2024! (No sessions in November or December due to the shop becoming busy with the Christmas excitement)

Here we are at Truro Collage ready to welcome new higher education students attending university courses and to offer advice guidance on dyslexia and related neurodiversity’s.
