Who we are
Dyslexia Cornwall (formerly Cornwall Dyslexia Association) is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. It was first established in 1991 by a small group of concerned parents who wanted to help dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.
Over the past 25 years Dyslexia Cornwall has successfully provided high quality services to local people with dyslexia, their families, employers, educators and the wider community.
Dyslexia Cornwall works in partnership with the local authority, schools, training providers, Jobcentres, employers and the wider voluntary sector.
Our staff are trained to offer high quality information, advice and guidance on all issues relating to dyslexia.
Dyslexia Cornwall is independently funded through membership subscriptions, fundraising and charging for services. We do not receive any government funding.
We are constantly looking for new funding opportunities to deliver projects that enable people with dyslexia to reach their full potential.
Dyslexia Cornwall is currently a delivery partner for Building Better Opportunities programmes in Cornwall. Building Better Opportunities is supported with investment from the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund to help people connect and reconnect with education, training and work.
We are affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association.
