Supporting Students – a new pilot project

Dyslexia Cornwall are delighted to announce that we have been awarded grant funding from the British Dyslexia Association for a Pilot Project.

The project will offer FREE support to students with dyslexia and/or  dyscalculia, (or who have had a screening test that indicates dyslexia and/or dyscalculia)  who must re-sit their  English and Maths GCSEs in 2024 and will focus on study skills, revision strategies and examination techniques.

The support will be led by a qualified Specific Learning Difference teacher.

Each tuition module will consist of a series of 3x 2 hour Saturday morning workshops. The activities will be focused, multi- sensory,  practical and fun.

We plan to run two complete modules in March and April in 2024. Each study group will have up to 8 students plus supportive adults if requested by the individual student.
